About
Foothill Folkways is an herbal mutual aid project based in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, on the ancestral lands of the Gabrielino/Tongva people. I practice Traditional Western Herbalism with plants connected to my personal lineage and the ecology of Southern California.
This project celebrates folk ways of healing - living practices that invite us into deeper relationship with ourselves, our communities, and the ecosystems we are a part of. I understand folk medicine as a living tradition that is continually shaped through our collective participation, rather than fixed or held by any one person.
My practice is grounded in foundational values of reciprocity and care for the plants, expressed through commitments to habitat restoration, ecosystem protection, and Indigenous sovereignty.
